SAN ANTONIO — The Las Palmas Branch Library reopened its doors on Nov. 17 following a comprehensive $7 million renovation that expanded the facility and modernized its amenities.
Funded by the City of San Antonio’s 2017 and 2022 Bond programs, the project added 2,000 sq. ft. to the building, including a new H-E-B Community Room. Improvements also include renovated teen and children’s areas, upgraded technology in the computer lab, and a new roof.
“This branch has long been a cornerstone for Westside families, students, and neighbors, and now it’s ready to serve in even bigger and better ways,” said Library Director Sukrit Goswami.
A grand reopening celebration is scheduled for Dec. 6.
