BAY CITY — Industrial pipe manufacturer Tenaris has announced a $50,000 contribution to support the construction of the new Aquatics Center of Matagorda County.
The proposed multi-use facility, located in central Matagorda County, is designed to enhance community wellness, recreational offerings, and physical therapy access across Bay City and surrounding rural areas. In addition to fitness amenities, the center will host public swim instruction and water safety courses to help reduce drowning risks in the coastal region.
“Strong communities are built through collaboration and shared commitment,” said Guillermo Moreno, President of Tenaris U.S. “We are pleased to support a project that will create lasting value for the people of Matagorda County”.
The donation adds to Tenaris’s ongoing local civic investments, which include technical training partnerships with Wharton County Junior College and regional STEM educational scholarships.
