BROWNSVILLE — Global energy infrastructure firm Glenfarne Group LLC has secured a $500 million investment led by HPS Investment Partners to advance early construction and equipment procurement for its Texas LNG export facility.

The capital commitment marks a key milestone for Texas LNG as it moves toward a Final Investment Decision (FID) at the Port of Brownsville. The funding supports the recently issued Limited Notice to Proceed (LNTP) to engineering and construction contractor Kiewit.

Under the LNTP, project teams are executing:

  • Long-lead purchase orders for major liquefaction equipment packages
  • Full EPC-phase engineering design
  • On-site geotechnical inspections and site preparation

“This investment is direct evidence of the execution readiness of Texas LNG,” said Vlad Bluzer, co-president of Texas LNG. Texas LNG is designed to utilize electric motor drives, positioning it as one of the lowest-emitting liquefied natural gas export facilities in the world.
