DAISETTA — The City of Daisetta will mark the completion of a multi-year infrastructure investment with the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony of its new $4 million community center.
The ceremony for the new nearly 12,000-sq. Ft. structure at 412 Main St. is scheduled for tomorrow (July 23), at 1:00 p.m..
Funded entirely through grant dollars administered by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA), the project represents one of the largest public investments in recent city history. Key development partners included:
- Grant administrator: GrantWorks
- Architectural and engineering firms: Labiche Architectural Group and Fitz & Shipman
- General contractor: G&G Enterprises
Designed as a regional multi-purpose hub serving the Hull, Daisetta, and Raywood communities, the center features large event and meeting rooms, a commercial kitchen, a computer lab, public laundry and shower facilities, and dedicated infrastructure for emergency management operations.
“This facility represents a lasting investment in our residents and emergency resilience,” said Mayor Cindy Burchfield.
