IRVING— Caterpillar Inc. is expanding its presence in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with the purchase of a major office building in Irving.
The heavy equipment manufacturer has acquired the property at 901 W. Walnut Hill Lane, the former headquarters of Zales. The building, which encompasses more than 400,000 sq. ft., is located near Caterpillar’s existing global headquarters at Williams Square Plaza in Las Colinas.
Caterpillar relocated its headquarters from Illinois to Irving in 2022. In a statement released Dec. 8, the company said the purchase would help accommodate its continued growth in North Texas and deepen its economic impact on the region.
The company did not disclose the purchase price or specific renovation plans for the newly acquired space.
