HOUSTON — The Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA) has installed its 2026 board of directors and recognized the industry’s top performers during its annual installation celebration.
The event, themed “Coming Home,” honored a slate of “Of the Year” winners for their contributions to the residential construction industry. Perry Homes was named Builder of the Year for its advocacy and philanthropic support, including workforce development initiatives through the Perry Homes Foundation.
Other key honorees included:
- Custom Builder of the Year: Zach Gavos of Keepsake Custom Homes, who will also serve as the 2026 president of the Bay Area Builders Association.
- Developer of the Year: Bob Douglas of Johnson Development Corporation, recognized for his expertise and advocacy on regional issues such as the Conroe water moratorium.
- Remodeler of the Year: Paul Canady and George Gomez of Res Com Custom Builders, honored for their leadership and dedication to charitable traditions like the Remodelers Council Garage Sale.
- Associate of the Year: David Castle of Ironwood Connection.
- Young Professional of the Year: Amanda McIntire of Highland Homes.
The association also recognized Debbie Page of 1st Texas Fire Protection as the Top Membership Spike for her recruitment efforts.
