SAN ANTONIO — The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) student chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) was named a winner in the 2025 national Construction Management Competition, according to an ABC news release.
The UTSA team, representing the ABC South Texas chapter, competed against universities from across the country.
The competition required four-person teams to complete a real-life construction management project. This year’s project focused on the MiraCosta Health and Wellness Hub, a 27-acre, multi-building development at a college in Oceanside, California.
The ABC South Texas Chapter runs its own annual Excellence in Construction Awards program to recognize outstanding projects in the region.
