AUSTIN — Ferrovial, through its U.S. construction subsidiary Webber, has been selected to build two major water facilities in Austin and Fort Worth, with contracts totaling approximately $720 million.

In Austin, Webber will build a $426 million pump station as part of TxDOT’s I-35 Capital Express Central project. The 105-foot-deep station is designed for flood and stormwater management and will have a pumping capacity of 260,000 gallons per minute. Construction began in July and is expected to finish in late 2028.

In Fort Worth, the company secured a $295 million contract to expand the Eagle Mountain Water Treatment Plant. This project will increase the plant’s capacity by 35 million gallons per day (MGD) and includes new ozone generation, disinfection, and filtration systems. It is expected to be completed in 2029.
