HOUSTON — Apple has opened a new Advanced Manufacturing Center in Houston [source: 1]. Unveiled by CEO Tim Cook on Aug. 13, the 20,000-sq. ft. center sits within a larger 250,000-sq, ft. factory that recently began shipping advanced AI servers.

The center is designed to offer free training and educational sessions for small- and medium-sized businesses. Apple engineers will provide hands-on instruction covering smart manufacturing skills, machine-learning-driven quality control, and advanced automation. Cook also confirmed the facility will begin manufacturing the Mac mini later this year.
