HOUSTON — Canadian homebuilder Glenview Homes is expanding into the United States, starting its operations in the Greater Houston area.
The Ottawa-based company announced Monday (April 20) that it has tapped veteran Texas homebuilding executive Blake Roberts to lead its U.S. market entry. Roberts will initially collaborate with Glenview Homes during its U.S. formation phase before transitioning into a full-time role as president of Texas operations as the company’s regional growth advances.
“At Glenview Homes, we’ve always focused on thoughtful design, quality construction, and putting people first,” Jake Shabinsky, managing director of Glenview Homes, said in a news release. “Texas represents an exciting opportunity, and we’re approaching it with the same values that have guided our success to date.”
Shabinsky noted that Roberts brings a multi-decade track record of scaling operations in Texas across both public and private homebuilding organizations.
“I am excited and honored to join the Glenview family of companies,” Roberts said in a statement “The team’s extensive combined experience and shared vision regarding business strategy and company culture create a strong foundation for success.”
Glenview Homes was launched in 2012 by a family-run real estate business that has operated in Canada since 1966. The company stated that additional details will be shared as the Texas expansion advances.
