TAYLOR – Authorities are investigating the death of a third-party contractor at the Samsung Electronics semiconductor facility construction site in Taylor.
The incident occurred on Feb. 11. While Samsung has not disclosed the specific cause of death, the company confirmed it is cooperating with local authorities and that emergency responders were on-site quickly.
The $17 billion Taylor facility is one of the largest industrial projects in the state and is slated to begin operations by the end of 2026.
