HUTTO — The Central Texas technology corridor is securing another massive aerospace investment. In early October, Governor Abbott announced a Blue Origin expansion in Hutto, detailing a $555 million manufacturing campus that will bring more than 2,000 jobs to the region over the next decade.
Blue Origin Manufacturing LLC will take over approximately 1.3 million sq. ft. of space at the existing Constellation Park industrial site along Highway 79. The facility will serve as a production hub for the company’s TeraWave satellite communications network and its Quartz ground communications network, while also manufacturing solar arrays and avionics.
The expansion is being supported by significant state incentives, including an $18.17 million Texas Enterprise Fund grant and a $10,000 Veteran Created Job Bonus. Gov. Abbott noted that Texas continues to offer the workforce and pro-business environment necessary for advanced technology companies to scale their operations.
Blue Origin CEO Dave Limp stated that the company is eager to tap into the state’s talent pool to ensure the U.S. remains a leader in space innovation. Local officials, including Hutto Mayor Mike Snyder, celebrated the announcement as a transformative opportunity that will create long-term career pathways rather than just immediate jobs
