RHCA highlights major North Texas regional developments: DART Silver Line and Convention Center

The Texas Construction News staff writer

DALLASThe Regional Hispanic Contractors Association (RHCA) has released a review of major construction developments shaping the North Texas economy in early 2026.

Key among the highlighted projects is the DART Silver Line, a 26-mile regional rail service constructed by the Archer Western Herzog Consortium. The project, which connects seven northern cities to DFW International Airport, is credited with driving commerce and economic development along its route despite earlier schedule challenges.

The RHCA also pointed to the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Master Plan in Dallas as a critical infrastructure focus. Following a year-end review, the city is moving forward with the multi-billion-dollar redevelopment, which officials state will integrate the facility more seamlessly with the surrounding downtown fabric and spur further hospitality and commercial construction.

The association noted that while national construction spending has seen slight fluctuations, regional infrastructure projects remain a strong driver of industry activity in the Dallas-Fort Worth area
