SAN MARCOS – Gov. Greg Abbott joined the Texas Aggregates & Concrete Association (TACA) at the Concrete Industry Management (CIM) Annual Scholarship Gala to underscore the vital role of the construction materials sector in the state’s economic engine.
The CIM program at Texas State University, which benefits from nearly $100,000 in annual scholarships awarded at the event, maintains a 100% job placement rate for its graduates.
Abbott noted that as Texas continues its unprecedented infrastructure boom, the development of a skilled management workforce is paramount to maintaining the state’s competitive edge. TACA leaders reaffirmed their commitment to funding educational pathways that bridge the gap between classroom theory and field operations.
