Bridge demolition to close Little Road under U.S. 287 in Arlington
ARLINGTON – As part of the $2.1 billion Southeast Connector project, Little Road will be closed under U.S. 287 for bridge demolition over two upcoming weekends.
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has scheduled the first closure from 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, through 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21. A second closure is planned for the following weekend, Feb. 27–28.
Traffic has already been shifted to the new U.S. 287 bridges. During the closures, motorists will be detoured to U-turn at Sublett Road or Bowman Springs Road. The entire Southeast Connector project, which widens 16 miles of I-20, I-820, and US 287, is expected to be finished in 2027.
