AUSTIN— The Texas Association of Builders (TAB) announced that Donald Ray “DR” Horton and Kathryn Ann “Toy” Wood will be inducted into the 2026 Texas Housing Hall of Honor. The announcement was made on July 24, following a vote by the Hall of Honor Board of Governors.
The Texas Housing Hall of Honor is intended to serve as a pinnacle recognition, honoring individuals whose vision and long-term service have fundamentally reshaped the state’s housing industry.
TAB honors builders at 2026 Star Awards
Meanwhile, TAB awarded four Grand Awards and 180 elite trophies at the 2026 Star Awards Dinner & Celebration on July 23. The event was held at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio River Walk in conjunction with the 2026 Sunbelt Builders Show.
The competition reached new heights this year, drawing more than 1,100 entries. The awards program, established in 1992, highlights excellence among builders, remodelers, architects, developers, and sales professionals across the Texas residential construction industry.
