ARLINGTON – The University of Texas at Arlington has entered a five-year research agreement with CRH, the world’s leading provider of building materials, to accelerate the development of sustainable construction technologies.

The partnership will focus on two inaugural projects: the use of carbon nanoparticles to create high-strength, low-cement concrete, and real-time monitoring systems for concrete manufacturing. UTA’s Center for Advanced Construction Materials (CACM) will spearhead the research.

“This collaboration creates remarkable opportunities for our UTA students and junior faculty to engage directly with industry leaders on technologies that will shape the future of construction materials,” said Maria Konsta-Gdoutos, CACM associate director.
