MIDLAND — Waste Energy Corp. has completed Phase 1 of the commissioning program for its initial commercial-scale waste conversion system in Midland, according to a recent shareholder update.
The company is currently in the final connection phase, utilizing specialized welding crews to complete the remaining equipment and system connections. Waste Energy CEO Scott Gallagher emphasized that the company is prioritizing precision and safety over arbitrary timelines due to the highly demanding operating conditions of waste conversion equipment.
Concurrently, Waste Energy is finalizing the expansion of its Midland campus, an acquisition that will nearly triple the site’s footprint from four acres to 13 acres. The expanded acreage will provide substantially greater capacity for tire intake, material storage, and future waste conversion systems, positioning the Midland site as the cornerstone of the company’s environmental infrastructure strategy in the Permian Basin.
