FORT WORTH — The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) has announced the winners of its 2026 Safety Excellence Awards, recognizing top-tier occupational health programs within the construction industry.

This year’s honors were awarded to IMPACT Strategies (headquartered in Illinois) in the General Contractor division and AirCo Mechanical (based in Round Rock, TX) in the Subcontractor division.

IMPACT Strategies was recognized for achieving a 0.78 Experience Modification Rate (EMR) and zero OSHA recordable incidents over the past four years through comprehensive third-party audits and rigorous daily hazard planning.

AirCo Mechanical, represented by Linda Cudmore, earned the subcontractor award for fostering a culture of employee empowerment, where workers possess universal stop-work authority and actively engage in near-miss reporting without fear of retaliation.

“Safety should be everyone’s top priority,” NAWIC President Jodi Wiemerslage stated during the announcement. “These two companies represent what safety excellence is all about.”
